Kos is the third largest of the Dodecanese Islands after Rhodes and Karpathos. It is long (about 45km) and narrow in shape, mostly flat with two low mountains that run along its southern coast. The natural beauty of Kos and its landscape is fantastic for hiking and mountain biking. The relatively flat surface of the island has made the bicycle an incredibly popular form of transportation and a fantastic way of discovering the hidden beauties of Kos, with dedicated cycle lanes running all over the island.
FBC Kos Kite is situated on the beach in front of the Horizon Beach Resort (Mastichari) on the north west coast of Kos Island. This area is called Mastichari and it is well known for its Meltemi, the strong north/northwest wind which blows on shore from the right, almost every day during the summer season.and from side shore from the left (thermical) in the afternoon. FBC Kos is perfectly positioned, only 10 km from the airport and 15 km to Kos city. Last but not least, it is a truly beloved place by its numerous repeater guests of all ages, in a great atmosphere and plenty for everyone to enjoy.
Kos Island really has something for everyone, not only windsurfing and kitesurfing! It is swept by magnificent sandy beaches and has some of the most interesting archeological sites in the Mediterranean. The city is alive day and night with shops, tavernas, bars and a new modern marina. The famous Bar Street can keep you partying into sunrise, or for a more relaxing night take a trip to the local Thermal Springs where you can bathe in healing volcanic waters under the stars. The only question is will you have enough time off of the water to fit it all in?!!
WE RECOMMEND –

Fuerteventura is situated 90km off the coast of Africa and is the second largest island of the Canary Islands archipelago after Tenerife. Approximately 110km long and 30km at its widest point, the center of the island is occupied by a plateau averaging 300m in height, flanked on the east and west sides by low ranges of hills. It is the least developed of the Canaries, with 40% of the Island declared a National Park. The landscape has little vegetation and has been likened to something like the planet Mars! At sunset the sleepy dunes are offset by stunning red, ochre and purple mountain landscapes transforming the view.
Corralejo started life as a fishing village and is now a modern tourist resort with accommodation, bars, restaurants and surf shops and a real “surfy” atmosphere. The town is based around a marina, where regular pleasure trips and ferries leave to Isla de Lobos and Lanzarote.
Fuerteventura is a large tourist destination in its own right and although it is slightly lacking in terms of culture, it certainly makes up for it with loads of sporting activities, beautiful landscapes and deserted golden beaches where you can find peace and tranquility. Fuerteventuras ability to offer a variety of conditions and locations throughout the year from top wave sailing spots to flat water slalom and bump and jump makes it a mecca for all you water addicts. We hope to see you there soon!

Almost the whole coastline is surrounded by a reef belt, except in front of the centre. At FBC Marsa Alam, a great windsurfing spot with constant sideshore wind from the left awaits you. A lagoon with shallow water offers ideal conditions for windsurfing beginner courses, and of course intermediates and experts also get their money’s worth!
The launching area is in a big shallow water lagoon. As soon as you sail out of this lagoon, moderate waves invite you to jump and play. The height of the waves depends on the wind strength, but they are always easy and safe. On your way back to the lagoon you can really plane through all maneuvers, for the best ever diversity and the joy of all Boarders. The wind blows very consistently from the north, often you have 5 Bft already in the morning, thus maximising the effective wind hours you can spend on your board.
Teaching can take place in any tidal conditions as the lagoon always has enough water. The lagoon offers perfect conditions for learning and improving, this regardless of your age: 7 to 107 welcome !
For safety reasons and due to the National Park regulations and the need to protect the natural wild life, kitesurfing is not offered at this spot.
